Residences

Oakwood Terrace’s four single-story residences—Birch, Oak, Willow, and Pine—are specially designed to provide a home-like atmosphere and make the transition to a new living environment as easy as possible.

Each residence is much like a family home. It has a living room for relaxing, watching TV, or conversing with friends and family. There is a kitchenette with a pantry and dining area. Each home has 8 to 12 bedrooms, each with its own powder room. Each home also has a separate master bath suite designed to make bathing and personal care safe and luxurious. In addition to toilet facilities and a vanity with sink, the bath suite has a large walk-in shower and a state-of-the-art therapeutic whirlpool spa. The combination of individual powder rooms in each bedroom plus the master bath suite allows for just the right balance of safety, privacy, and staff assistance for bathing and personal hygiene.

Each residence also has a visual security system monitored by our staff. Utilities, including local telephone service and cable TV (in each common living room) are also included.

Daily life at the Birch, Oak, Willow, or Pine allows residents to enjoy a home-like atmosphere with neighbors who become good friends in a family-like setting. This encourages social interaction and participation in daily activities. Just like our programs are designed to provide support, stimulation, and education, our residences are designed to meet the daily needs of our residents for social interaction, personal space, and a supportive community.
