What's New at Oakwood Terrace New Health Management Software In August 2010, Oakwood Terrace installed a state-of-the-art Community Health and Management Platform called ALMSA. This software is a valuable tool for our nursing staff in regards to charting medications, assessments, care plans, care tasking, and more. Executive Director gains NCCDP certification Janine Starinsky, Executive Director of Oakwood Terrace, recently completed the educational seminar entitled "Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care" sponsored by the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners (NCCDP) and has been appointed as a Certified Dementia Care Manager (CDCM). She will be listed as a practitioner on NCCDP.org website. Car Wash Raises Money for Alzheimer's Association On July 17, Oakwood Terrace hosted a car wash which raised money for the Alzheimer's Association through donations, a bake sale, and a basket raffle. The weather was good, and the shiny clean cars looked great!

Josh is a 5th grade student at Old Forge Elementary School, a 1st year Boy Scout with Troop 160 in Clarks Summit, and the son of Sherri and Bob Wagner of Old Forge.

Special Community Forum held on February 17 Oakwood Terrace hosted a Special Valentine's Community Forum on Wednesday, February 17 at 2:00 PM. Topics: Caregiver's tips, long term care insurance, reverse mortgages, Veterans Benefits, and estate planning.
